Youngjin Yi is a student at the Golisano Institute of Sustainability, one of nine colleges at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), majoring in Architecture. Currently, I am pursuing the completion of a Master’s degree, which I expect to graduate in May 2026.

Born and Raised in South Korea
A passionate designer with a heart set on shaping the future of architecture and interior design.
My upbringing in South Korea instilled in me a deep appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and attention to detail—values that continue to guide my creative endeavors to this day. From the intricate patterns of traditional Hanok garments to the sleek lines of modern architecture, I draw inspiration from the rich heritage and dynamic spirit of my homeland.
Communication and new language
I embarked on a journey of discovery at a young age when I moved to Virginia during my fourth grade. It was there that I developed a love for design and a thirst for knowledge that would shape my path forward. Discovered new languages in English, Cued Speech and American Sign Language.
In the realm of sports, I discovered a love for rowing that ignited a fire within me. Through dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of training, I earned the prestigious title of State Champion. In the world of art, I found a canvas for self-expression and a means of bringing my imagination to life.
And then there's engineering—a field that has always held a special place in my heart. With a keen mind for problem-solving and a knack for innovation, I've delved into the world of 3D printing, creating intricate crafts
Journey at University
My educational journey began at the National Institute of Technology, where I immersed myself in the world of computer-aided drafting technology. Eager to expand my horizons, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Design at the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology.
Throughout my college years, I've been drawn to leadership roles. Whether serving as Vice President in my fraternity, coaching volleyball or taking on the mantle of President in various clubs and organizations, I've always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact and inspire others to reach their full potential in the community.
Hard at work as a Summer Director, organizing and coordinating activities that bring joy and enrichment to those around me. It's in these moments of leadership and service that I find my truest fulfillment.
